Aspen Ladd

Aspen Ladd's journey in combat sports began at 14 years old. Aspen Ladd was trained in BJJ, kickboxing, boxing and wrestling before making her first appearance as an amateur at WCFC aged 18. Ladd went on an impressive 3-fight winning streak at Ultimate Reno Combat. In the three fights, she defeated her opponent right in the first round. Ladd returned to WCFC and defeated Leslie Rodriguez through a unanimous decision. Aspen was first beaten by Silvia Babyghian, before heading to take on Maddy Simmons at WCFC 9 in which she took on Cynthia Calvillo. Cynthia was superior to Aspen as she beat her with a unanimous decision. Cynthia's records as a professional were marred. Ladd defeated Roma Pawelek on Tuff n Uff, and increased her record for amateurs to 8-1. Aspen began her professional career in the year 2015. She signed up with Invicta FC and made her debut. Invicta 11, she was able to slay Ana Carolina Vidal to score a TKO in the first round. Invicta fought her at Bantamweight and was victorious via submission armbar during the second round. Aspen's dazzling wrestling ability was able to take down McGill in the first round, and she was able to end her third round with a TKO (elbows and punches). Aspen was then up against Jessica Hoy (138.1lb at Invicta FC) at a "catchweight"(138.1lb), because Ladd failed to make the weight. Aspen, however, beat Hoy with a TKO. Invicta FC 28 was her final fight for the company. Invicta FC 22 saw Sijara Eubanks be defeated in a unanimity. Aspen Ladd competed in her UFC debut against Lina Ladsberg. She dominated Lina by pounding and grounding her, winning the TKO during the second round. Her dominance continued and she won a much more convincing victory in her subsequent fight with Tonya Evinger, at UFC 229 Ladd beat Evinger within the first minute and received a bonus for her performance during the night. She fought her first big fight in the UFC Fight Night dos Anjos Vs. Lee rematch against Sijara Ebanks. Both fighters put up an exchange of blows that culminated with Ladd triumphing via a unanimous decision and both fighters getting their Fight of the Night bonus. Ladd's first loss came in her next fight against Germaine de Randamie in Ladd's first UFC main event fight. Randamie finished Ladd in just 16 seconds which ended her streak to win. Yana Knitskaya was defeated in UFC 7 ESPN 7's third round, was defeated by Randamie. In a recent replacement match for UFC, Norma Dumont was her opponent. It was a unanimous decision in her favor.
