Adele

AdeleAdkins was the daughter of a single mother of just a few years, raised in various working-class London neighborhood. She was a lover of contemporary pop music as a young girl and was adept at playing the guitar and clarinet. It wasn't until she was in her teens when she was introduced to Etta James, a blues and rhythm singer, as well as other performers from the early 20th century that she started to think about a profession in music. When she was at a secondary institution for performing arts, which was funded by the government when a friend began uploading songs Adkins wrote on Myspace. Her music eventually attracted the attention of recording labels and, in 2006, about a year after her graduation the school, she signed a contract with XL Recordings.
